We got up early today. Although we travelled for a long time and arrived yesterday late at night, the inner clock told us that it's time to get up.We have a bunch of work to do at the boat and I'm looking forward to have the rudder replaced, the sea cocks maintained or replaced, the shaft seal maintained and the battery charger installed, to launch the boat and spend some time on the water.
While on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, I spent a lot of time researching about repairing or replacing the rudder, installing the shaft seal maintenance kit, installing the battery charger etc. I found some very good, inspiring and helpful resources. Many thanks to the guys, taking their time to document their work. You can find their link on the project page of this blog.
I ordered all the parts, required to complete the projects. You can find some information on the project page where I will document some of the projects.
With the plan in mind, to sail the Caribbean Sea and wherever the wind will take us, we bought the sailboat Tranquilizer, a 1999 Hunter 410 in July 2013. Several projects on the boat had to be completed first and we had to get used to the boat. Not an easy thing, since the boat sits in Florida while we live in Europe. This is the place where we post about our our adventures, boat projects etc. Finally, the day has come, and we started our adventure in March 2016.
